The California Political Reform Act (Government Code Sections 81000-91014) requires candidates and committees to file campaign disclosure statements which provide detailed information on incoming and outgoing monies during a specified reporting period. Effective January 1, 2021, Government Code §84616 requires a local government agency to post on its internet website, within 72 hours of the applicable filing deadline, a copy of any specified statements, reports, or other documents filed with that agency in paper format and must be made available for four years from the date of the election associated with the filing. Per Government Code §84616, copies of Campaign Disclosure Statements filed by the City Council may be reviewed using the links provided below. Please note that certain personal information for statements that are posted electronically (i.e., online or by email) are required to be redacted. Unredacted copies of campaign statements are available for review in the City Clerk's Office at 24035 El Toro Road, Laguna Hills, CA 92653 or can be requested via email at jlee@lagunahillsca.gov .
Laguna Hills Municipal Code Chapter 1-40 imposes a maximum limitation on the amount of campaign contributions which may be received by candidates from a single source for an elective city office campaign.
